OUR STUDENTS
All students at Mater Dei Academy enjoy a healthy mix of rigorous academic formation, fun-filled extra-curricular activities, and formation in faith.
School Day
Each day at Mater Dei Academy has seven learning periods of either 35 or 40 minutes each. Class sizes are small and teachers take the time and interest in each individual student. The day begins and ends with prayer. Each week the students partake in the Socratic Seminar, an important learning opportunity in classical education.
After School
All students at Mater Dei Academy make regular school trips and retreats throughout the year. These are usually a mix of intellectual formation, faith formation and fun. Previous school trips have included Gougane Barra, Cobh, Clonmacnoise, Mount Melleray, Co. Waterford, and Baile Bhuirne in the Muscraí Gaeltacht.
